Search and Discovery
Business / User — Search was hidden in the off canvas / hamburger menu and was difficult to access. This resulted in poor "buy action" metrics. "Buy Actions" were defined as a Buyer downloading (usually PDFs) property information, engaging with Brokers on the platform, saving properties, and setting property preferences. Mobile traffic was growing MoM and we identified a search revamp as an opportunity to capture new and existing users.
Solution— Expose primary filters, based on usage data, and introduce new mobile search UI. Common filters were Sale or Lease, Location, and Property type. "Saved Searches" was also emphasised in the UI. Users who saved a search were more engaged on the platform.
CREXi Market Intelligence (CMI)
CREXi’s market intelligence capabilities combine rich data and deep market analysis, making it easy to quickly identify and evaluate the right opportunities for your investment strategy. The scope of the project was to design and build an MVP data product that included a purchase funnel.
CMI launched with 25 MSAs and will expand in the future to hundreds of MSAs. To handle a product that is dense with text and complex data visualization, which would come later, the design team decided to keep a simple layout with anchored navigation and content for faster navigation of points of interest. CMI is a one time or subscription based product that is updated quarterly for subscribers.
A design system. It was named Renovate for the approach of implementation. One component at a time, like a renovation of a building. Not a complete tear down.
